Other Things To Bring

The following is a list of items you might consider bringing with you to the Jamboree. This list was based on the experience of many Jamborees. You may think of other things you need as well, let this list be your starting point.


Stuff for Your Tent

Waterproof storage container or plastic bags for clothes
Mat or astro-turf for the ground in front of your cot
A device to lock up your valuables (padlock, footlocker, storage chest etc.)
Light adapter for electrical socket (the kind you screw into a light socket and convert it to an electrical outlet)
Small clip-on fan
Electrical extension cord (25 foot)
Ant spray / bug spray
Rope (lightweight parachute cord, clothesline)
Mosquito netting for your cot (get the kit that fits over army cots)


Stuff for Your Daily Comfort

Day pack or fanny pack (something to carry your daily belongings in)
A quality rain suit
Extra shoes and socks (be sure to keep your feet dry)
Baby powder / talcum powder (bring plenty to keep yourself dry)
Bug repellent
Pocket blister kit


Stuff for Your Activity Area

Water bottle (insulated would be nice)
Pocket knife (please, no sheath knifes and no knifes on the belt)
Folding chair or camp stool
Work Gloves (leather is best but canvas is fine)


Stuff to Take to Arena Shows

Stadium seat or fanny pad - or
Waterproof ground cloth - or
Blanket
Snacks (bring some for yourself and for your neighbor who did not get this list)


Stuff in general

Youth Protection certificate
Friendship gifts (patches, pins)
Laundry detergent
Allergy Medication (take various kinds, the plants are different there than at your home)
Telephone calling card / credit card for calling home
