Here are some last minute thoughts and reminders for the Jamboree.  Please read this page carefully!

When you arrive at the Jamboree site, either by bus or by car, you will clear the front gate and then proceed down the main road to the Visitor’s Center.  The buses will let everyone out here and you will take your luggage off with you.  If you’re driving you will stop here, but you can leave your luggage in your car.

The first step for everyone will be to go to Jamboree Registration check in to get your Jamboree credentials.  Please make sure you have the following with you when you arrive:

  *  A copy of your fee payment receipts proving you have paid in full,
  *  A copy of your medical records,
  *  Your certification of current Youth Protection Training.  You must have completed YPT within the last 2 years

Next, you will go over to the Western Region Action Center Registration to meet a few of us waiting there to greet you and to give you your T Shirts or Polo Shirts that you preordered.  We will also be glad to help you figure out where to catch the bus to your sub camp if you are traveling by bus or navigate the roads to your sub camp if you are traveling by car.  A map of the Jamboree can be found here.

At your sub camp, you will be told where your bunk is and will be directed to the appropriate tent.  Take a few minutes to set up some of your things, change into comfortable clothes, and then walk over to the Action Center and find your team and get started with setup and training (assuming you didn’t arrive just in time for dinner!) A map of the Action Center layout can be found here.

Now some last minute fun stuff.  If you have not already done so and this is your first Jamboree, navigate from www.myscouting.org to the eLearning center and take the Jamboree Staff Training module – it is interesting and informative and gives you a feel for the place.  Also, if you have an Aloha Shirt (Hawaiian Shirt) bring it along as we will designate one of the days as Aloha Shirt Day and we’ll all violate the uniform rules together!!
